With Christmas fast approaching, it can be a very exciting time of year as we prepare for the big day. But would you know where to access NHS services over Christmas, if you needed to?
As of 12pm today, the urgent care centres at Warren Farm in Kingstanding and Washwood Heath have closed due to staffing shortages because of the snow. Currently, we expect them to re-open tomorrow as usual. Please call #NHS111 for urgent medical advice.
Councillors from the Health and Adult Social Care Scrutiny Board visited Solihull Hospital on Friday 3 November. They met staff from Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) and the Urgent Primary Care Centre to get an understanding of how the departments are benefiting Solihull patients and they were given a guided tour around the main reception area for Urgent Primary Care and Booked Primary Care. The MIU is a 24 hour service for people who suffer a minor injury and the Urgent Primary Care service runs from 8am to 8pm seven days a week, to see and treat patients with a minor illness.
