Step into a New Year of Healthy Eating

What better start to the New Year than feeling fit and healthy.  We all feel it, the extra pounds after a season spent relaxing and enjoying the festivities, but this year NHS Solihull Clinical Commission Group (CCG) are encouraging people to ‘take action and turn your resolve into results!’

Be realistic about what you want to change in your eating habits and lifestyle choices, you don’t have to cut back on everything, small changes can make all the difference.  Take notice of your five a day and ensure you’re eating all the right things, particularly moderate your intake of salt, sugar and carbohydrates.

Dr Anand Chitnis, Chair at NHS Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group, said:

“Choose healthy goals that are easy to achieve.  Small changes over time will make it easier to track your success and feel good about meeting your goals. You'll also be motivated by your success to make even more changes.”
