Doctors in Solihull are urging patients to stock up their medicine cabinets in time for the Easter break – and advising them what to do if they need help urgently.
Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), which funds health services for the people of Solihull, is calling on patients to make sure they have enough medication for the holiday period.
A temporary GP walk-in centre will open in Chelmsley Wood over the Easter weekend.
Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) has funded the service to be run from The Chelmsley Wood Primary Care Centre, Crabtree Drive, Chelmsley Wood B37 5BU.
The walk-in centre will be open from 9am to 6pm on the following days:
- Friday 3 April (Good Friday)
- Saturday 4 April
- Sunday 5 April (Easter Sunday)
- Monday 6 April (Easter Monday)

Organisers today released details of the finalists in the Solihull Together for Better Lives Awards 2015. The inaugural awards attracted over 50 nominations from individuals and organisations across the borough.
Winners in each category will be revealed at the awards ceremony on Thursday 19 March, which will be held at the Renewal Conference Centre, Lode Lane. The winner of the Chairman’s Award will also be announced. This special award will be given to an individual or group who, in the opinion of the judging panel, has best demonstrated outstanding commitment to improving the lives of older people in Solihull.
