We've had a great response to the inaugural awards with a total of 54 individuals, teams and organisations nominated from the public, private and voluntary sectors as well as members of the public.
Please join us at the Awards Ceremony on Thursday 19 March, 1.30pm – 4.00pm at the Renewal Conference Centre, Lode Lane and help us to celebrate the work of the finalists and winners who are improving the quality of life for Solihull's older residents.
On the day, 10 winners will be announced in the following categories: Outstanding Neighbour, Care Professional of the Year, Health Professional of the Year, Care Team of the Year, Primary Care Service of the Year, Dementia-friendly Service, Collaborative Working, Outstanding Project Delivered in the Community, Outstanding Initiative in Supported Living and Outstanding Customer Experience.
In addition we will be announcing the winner of the Solihull Together Chairman's Award. This will be given to the nominee who, in the opinion of the judging panel, has best demonstrated outstanding commitment to improving the lives of older people in Solihull.
Les Lawrence, Chairman, Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust Board of Directors will host the event and The Mayor of Solihull, Cllr Mrs Kate Wild, will be presenting the awards.
Solihull – Together for Better Lives is our shared commitment to improve health and care supported by NHS Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Heart of England NHS Foundation Trust, Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, Solihull voluntary and community sector and lay members representing people using services, their carers and the wider Solihull community.
